Greater Kansas City Alum Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi is ALWAYS looking for any sister who wants to share her talents and time! Whether a recent alum or one with lots of experience, we have an opportunity for everyone.
There are multiple ways you can get involved, from simply coming to events or joining a committee. Each year we also welcome new officers to the Greater KC AOII board. To be an officer, you must be a dues-paying member of the KC AOII chapter. You must also be able to attend two board meetings per year. All positions serve for two years. To learn more about our officer positions, visit the AOII Board page.
Committees include:
- Founders’ Day – plan Founders’ Day event in December or January
- Social Media – Tweet, post in KCAOII FB group, promote us on Instagram and assist with creation of monthly email newsletter
- Program Development – assist VP Programming with event creation and planning
Even if an office or committee position is currently being filled by another sister, feel free to notify us of your interest. Then, when the time comes for elections, we know you’re raring to get involved! (Plus, if the AOII currently occupying that role is unable to continue in it, we have a go-to gal in place ready to lend a hand.)
Never held office before? No sweat! We will train you, hold your hand and help you balance your new responsibilities until you feel ready to handle them on your own.
Please contact Kate to find out more. She’ll be happy to chat with you about what’s involved and help you determine if the open position is right for you. Email Kate at hello@kcaoii.com.
