Treasurer
Debbi (Headley) Johanning
I attended KU from 1993-1998 and pledged Phi Chapter in 1995. I served as Treasurer and lived in the house for one year. I’ve been a member of the alumnae chapter since 1997 after Phi Chapter closed, and I’ve been the alumnae chapter treasurer since around 1999. I’m also chair of the scholarship committee.
I’ve been married to my husband David, a former KU basketball player, since 2000, and we co-own the Sandbar, a dive bar in downtown Lawrence. We have a son named Cooper and a yellow lab named Lucy. I manage digital media content for the KU Alumni Association and have worked there since 2010.
When I have spare time, I enjoy reading, blogging, shopping, spending time with friends and family and entertaining company in our backyard during the summer. I make an excellent mojito, and my bartender husband has been known to ask me for my recipe.
