Once again, KCAOII supported the AOII Philanthropy, the Arthritis Foundation this year at the Jingle Bell Run. Annually, “Team AOII National” comprises one of the largest national teams in the country!

Three sisters running Jingle Bell RunThis year’s event was held on Sunday, December 9 at the Meritex Underground Office Park in Lenexa, KS. Despite cold temperatures outside, inside was warm and festive with holiday music, lots of jingling bells, and all kinds of food options from donuts to Jimmy Johns to Panera. The sisters walked or ran the 5K loop course with hundreds of other participants varying in age.

KCAOII’s fundraising efforts for America’s #1 cause of disability topped out at over $500 with the local event raising almost $175,000. Nationally, AOII raised over $45,000 contributing to the overall Jingle Bell Run proceeds of almost $6M. All proceeds from the Jingle Bell Runs across the country directly support arthritis research and resources.
