Last weekend, two KCAOII board members participated in graduation ceremonies for their respective Master’s degrees.
Debbi Johanning, long-time Treasurer and Scholarship chair for KCAOII will graduate this summer with her Master of Science in Digital Content Strategy from The University of Kansas’s William Allen White School of Journalism. Debbi went to KU for undergrad as well and was in the Phi chapter of AOII. Debbi received a Diamond Jubilee scholarship from AOII National this past year. Debbi is the Director of Digital Media for the KU Alumni Association in Lawrence, KS.
Cara Mahon, VP of Fundraising for KCAOII, graduated with her Master of Science in Interactive Media and Strategic Communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia’s School of Journalism. Cara received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri and was in the Delta Pi chapter of AOII. Cara won scholarships from the National Grocers Association, the Kansas City Direct Marketing Association, and AOII during the pursuit of her graduate degree. Cara currently works at Associated Wholesale Grocers in Kansas City, KS as a Digital Marketing Specialist.
