While it is almost February, don’t worry, the KCAOII Leadership has been busy getting our ducks in a row for 2018. Here are our goals for the year:
- 35 dues paying members. We were at 33 in 2017, so while this is a modest increase, we think we can do it! There are some alums coming up on their 25th year of AOII membership and we’re going to reach out to them and ensure they are aware of this great milestone. We also now offer the first-year of alum membership free to recent graduates. We hope that both of these factors, along with an awesome group of current members will continue to help us build the KCAOII membership.
- Clarify scholarship information & increase applications. We sure do have a lot of money to give away and not very many people interested in taking it! We think it might be because all of the requirements are so darn confusing. This year, we’re going to do our best to clear up the requirements for these scholarships and show everyone how to apply easily if they’re interested.
- Monthly email communication. Whether AOII National events, local KCAOII events, KC Panhellenic events, or local collegiate chapter happenings, there sure is a lot going on! To ensure our KCAOII community knows what’s going on relatively frequently, we’re going to send out a monthly email to give you all the details you need to be as involved as you want. Make sure you get our emails by subscribing!
Our newsletter will be out the first of February, but in the meantime, mark your calendars for these upcoming KCAOII events:

Roses,
Kate Favrow, KCAOII President
