A group of sisters from KC AOII spent part of their afternoon on Sunday, Oct 18, 2015 making treats at Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City’s Cherry Street house, and due to a little confusion the Longfellow house too! We made a variety of different treats and enjoyed each other’s company over two hours. Here are some photos, and recipes, from the event!

Gina made her dad’s favorite Orange Nut Balls:
Ingredients:
* 1 package of vanilla wafers (crushed)

* 1/2 pound of powdered sugar
* 1 stick of butter (melted)
* 6 oz. frozen OJ concentrate
* 1/2 c. chopped nuts
* Shredded coconut
Mix all the ingredients together. It will be sticky! If it’s TOO sticky, add some more powdered sugar. Form into balls and roll in coconut. Put in fridge to firm up if needed. Then snarf!
