Kim (Thurman) Hendricks

I was initiated in 1981 at Phi Chapter at the University of Kansas. This was just a few years after AOII recolonized on campus after leaving more than 20 years prior to that. During my collegiate years, I held the position of treasurer for one year and, my final year at the university, I was fortunate enough to be one of the first members to live in the newly constructed sorority house.
I graduated with a degree in accounting and business administration and served as the chapter financial adviser for a few years. During this time, I was able to accomplish the installation of new carpeting through the entire house.
For 29 years, I’ve been an employee of the Department of the Treasury. That is what I call my “real” job. My fun job is being a fitness instructor at a variety of locations teaching a wide range of formats. I like to keep current with all of the fitness trends by attending conventions and trainings. I love the outdoors — from bicycling, water skiing to taking my two Labradors on frequent walks.
