I attended KU from 1993-1998 and pledged Phi Chapter in 1995. I served as Treasurer and lived in the house for one year. I’ve been a member of the alumnae chapter since 1997 after Phi Chapter closed, and I’ve been the alumnae chapter treasurer since around 1999. I’m also chair of the scholarship committee.
I’ve been married to my husband David, a former KU basketball player, for almost 15 years, and we co-own the Sandbar, a dive bar in downtown Lawrence. We have a three year old son named Cooper and a yellow lab named Lucy. I manage digital media content for the KU Alumni Association and have been there almost five years now.
When I have spare time, I enjoy reading, blogging, shopping, spending time with friends and family and entertaining company in our backyard during the summer. I make an excellent mojito, and my bartender husband has been known to ask me for my recipe.
The most important thing about AOII to me is the friendships I’ve made. Some of my college sorority sisters are still my closest friends to this day!
