Joey Gander is our new vice president of programming. Joey is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri. As a collegian, Joey served as president of Delta Pi’s Corporate Board for three years and later became the Alumnae Chapter Advisor for two years. She works as an education and development specialist for BFDS. She lives in Overland Park with her husband, two small boys and a dog, which is the same breed as Toto from “The Wizard of Oz.”
Lauren Buys is our new vice president of fundraising. Lauren was initiated into AOII when she was at Quincy University in Illinois, but she graduated from Rockhurst University as an AOII Alum. She was the vice president of education while at Quincy. Lauren currently lives in Independence, Mo., and loves to play poker.
Kim Hendricks is our new Panhellenic delegate. Kim is a graduate of the University of Kansas. She was actually part of the first group of women to live in the brand new chapter house in Lawrence when it was built in the 1980s. Kim says it was like a ski lodge and was located across the street from the Sigma Nu house (originally built as the governor’s mansion). Kim currently lives in Overland Park. As Kim was growing up, she was a cheerleader and had aspirations to become a professional cheerleader. She graduated with a B.S. in accounting and business administration. To this, she said, “Reality Check!”
