The Greater Kansas City AOII Alum Chapter oversees the Jessie Marie Cramer Scholarship fund at the University of Central Missouri. Each year, we award one to two scholarships from this fund to qualified applicants who attend UCM.

We give priority to members of Alpha Omicron Pi, but sorority membership is not required.

This year, the recipient was Kelsey Carver.  Kelsey was graduated from Holden (Missouri) High School and is currently majoring in Middle School Education with a minor in mathematics.

Kelsey’s accomplishments didn’t impress only the AOII alum group. She also received a scholarship from the Missouri Association of Rural Education. In a story on that group’s website, Kelsey shared that her professional goals consisted of working as a middle school mathematics teacher and volleyball coach in a rural school district. She said, “I want to be a positive role model to my students and players, exemplifying good choices and a passion to make a difference in their lives as well as their community.”
