On May-5-6-7, Judith Zivanovic’s one-act play, “Promises to Keep” will be presented as part of the 2011 Kansas City Women’s Playwriting Festival at the City Stage, Union Station. The Festival evening of one-act plays will focus on life’s transitions. The first act, which opens with Judith’s play, will look at the meaning of “home.” “Promises to Keep” is about the courtship of Judith’s paternal grandparents and  became the first scene of a full-length play about her grandparents and her father. The short play was developed at the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre in Kansas City two summers ago and the full-length was accepted for development at the National Playwrights Intensive Workshop at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC last July. The Festival evening of one-act plays will be presented at 8:00 PM May 5, 6, 7.

Judith is also our chapter's nominee for the Panhellenic Woman of the Year Award.

Congratulations, Judith!
